While many orthopedic surgeons will fix fractures in addition to other conditions, fixing fractures is the only thing that we do. We are all board-certified orthopedic surgeons and fellowship-trained in trauma.
VERSATILITY: Baylor Trauma is in a unique position within the Texas Medical Center to provide comprehensive fracture care at multiple institutions. These hospitals have asked us to be available year-round 24/7 to care for their more complex orthopedic injuries.
Ben Taub General Hospital —Safety net hospital for Harris County and one of two adult Level-1 trauma centers serving the regional population of 6.5 million.
Texas Children’s Hospital — Pediatric Level-1 trauma center.
Baylor St. Luke’s Hospital — Private teaching hospital.
The Methodist Hospital — Private teaching hospital.
ALTRUISM: We strongly believe that the very best fracture care should be available to all members of our society. We are proud of our work at Ben Taub, where the large majority of our patients have no health insurance. We are all full-time faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and are heavily involved in training the next generation of physicians, both at the medical school and resident level.
